Studentské koleje pražské univerzity v pozdním středověku a raném novověku

This book examines the history of five student colleges of the university in Prague (Czech Nation College, Nazareth College, Lithuanian College, Reček College and Lauda College), spanning a period of more than two hundred years. It addresses various aspects related to their foundation and functioning in the late Middle Ages and early Modern Era, primarily analyzing the circumstances of the foundation of the student colleges, their financing, administration and daily life. The comparison of circumstances surrounding their foundation documents different approaches and to some extent also interests of their founders and benefactors.
