Vzdělávací oblast Člověk a zdraví v současné škole

This monograph aims to provide orientation in theoretical points of departure for physical education and health education as well as in the recent state of affairs of the educational area Humans and Health in Czech schools. The book’s chapters (transformations of school education over the past 25 years, curriculum and standards creation, research in school practice, conditions for teaching the physical education and health education subjects) provide information on the difficulties and challenges which the next stage of Czech educational reform will have to address. The scholars wanted to encourage the start of professional discussion which would increase the prestige and quality of education in the area Humans and Health.
