Professor Lubomír Doležel is a Czech scientist living in Canada and specialising in Theory of Literature. In this book he gives a thorough introduction into an important school of Theory of Literature ? fictional worlds, which he had co-founded. Unlike the classic interpretations, fictional worlds theory perceives literary texts as open to infinite levels of interpretation. Thus, literary works (fictions) and the reality can constantly interact. Heterocosmica represents a substantial linguistic contribution to post-modern theory of literature.
