Rok s pandemií covid-19

The proceedings of a conference organised by the Center for Modelling of Biological and Social Processes (BISOP) in mid-June 2021 represent a snapshot of the situation, knowledge, and social discourse at the time the conference was held. The first part features general texts that may help readers familiarise themselves with the topic. The second part consists of articles covering specific issues that occurred as a consequence of the pandemic, treating them from the perspectives of mathematical modelling, psychology, and sociology. The concluding section assesses the repercussions of the pandemic and the lesson one might learn from them. It is up to the reader to identify in retrospect what parts of the book eventually turned out to be true. In any case, the publication is an interesting account of the work of a scientific initiative.
