This textbook is based on the author's long time experience with teaching the Tibetan language in the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala and in the USA. It concentrates on the spoken form of the language in its daily use. The textbook introduces the elementary pronunciation and grammar and contains useful grammatic tables and examples. The Czech translation is enriched by the explanatory comments of the translator and by a basic bibliography.
