Husitství a husité

This book presents 16 previously published papers, which have been revised and expanded to include new findings, thus reflecting the current state of scientific research. It focuses on the question of the broadly defined Hussite epoch, which the scholar limits to the years 1402–1485, however, also taking into account the reappearance of Hussite ideas in the period before the Battle of White Mountain. The thematic blocks present Jan Hus’s activities, the situation in Hussite Prague, the figure of the Czech king George of Poděbrady, historiography in the 15th and 16th centuries, and reflections of the Hussite movement in the modern Czech society.
