Husitství a husité

The book collects 16 previously published studies that have been supplemented and expanded for this collection so as to reflect the current state of research. The studies concern the broadly understood Hussite epoch, defined by the author as the years 1402–1485, but also take into account the development of Hussite ideas in the period before the Battle of the White Mountain. In a series of thematic sections, Čornej presents the work of Jan Hus, the situation in Hussite Prague, the personality of King of Bohemia George of Poděbrady, the historiography of the 15th and 16th centuries, and the reflection of Hussitism in modern Czech society.
