Švamberkové v proměnách pěti století

The book traces the history of the Schwanberg Family from the 13th century to the beginning of the 18th century. It follows the main line from Ratmír of Skviřín to Polyxena of Paar, née of Schwanberg. The cadet branches of Bory and Zvíkov are also discussed. Drawing on extensive research using resources from the Třeboň archive, Jaroslav Čechura presents the stories of people whose everyday lives were confronted with historical events that had an impact on the entire Bohemian Kingdom, namely the Hussite Revolution, the post-Lipany period, and the Battle of White Mountain, which led to the Schwanberg Family’s emigration and gradual decline.
