Jaroslav Malina (1937–2016) was a world-renowned scenographer and painter. Essays included in this book cover the diverse aspects of his career, offer an insight into his methods of work and their philosophical roots, and explain Malina’s artistic contribution. The transcripts of the interviews, presented for the first time ever in this book, provide an intimate testimony about the impulses that guided Malina throughout his life.
