Digesta seu Pandectae / Digesta neboli Pandekty

The Digesta is the most extensive legal work from the legislative workshop of Justinian I. It is a collection of excerpts from legal texts originating mainly in the classical period, which together with the Institutions (Czech translation published by Karolinum Press in 2010) and the Code of Justinian, formed the monumental collection of Roman works in jurisprudence known as Corpus Juris Civilis. The Czech translation of a representative selection from this work is a result of a close cooperation between Czech and Slovak Roman scholars who were able to take advantage of the existing Slovak selection. The book is published as part of the Fontes Iuris Romani series.
