Krajiny

The publication presents a selection of Jaroslav J. Alt painting and graphic work from his later years (1980–2023). The artworks are intertwined with contemporary texts by philosophers Ladislav Benyovszky, Jaroslav Novotný, Aleš Novák and Zdeněk Kratochvíl, theologian David Bartoň, historian Jiří Pešek, art historian Blanka Altová, art theorist Lucie Rohanová, art critic, historian and curator Richard Drury, and two theoretical texts by Alt himself. The book as a whole represents a view of landscape as a topic that can be approached both in terms of philosophical reflections and artworks inspired (not only) by them.
