Історико-культурний феномен Української господарської академії в Подєбрадах

The conference proceedings Історико-культурний феномен Української господарської академії в Подєбрадах (Historical and Cultural Phenomenon of the Ukrainian Economic Academy in Poděbrady) present recent studies dealing with Ukrainian emigration to interwar Czechoslovakia, focusing especially on the Ukrainian Economic Academy based in Poděbrady (Central Bohemia). Drawing mostly on information found in the periodicals and archival materials of that time, the studies provide a number of new insights into this complex issue, which represents a significant part of the Ukrainian-Czech relations. The focus is not only on the difficult circumstances of the founding of the academy and its existence in interwar Czechoslovakia, but also on various aspects of the activities of this educational institution and its individual prominent personalities. The scope of many of the studies goes beyond the topic of the Ukrainian Economic Academy, addressing broader issues and aspects of Ukrainian emigration.
