The aim of this book is to present the content of despatches, which the head of the ministry of foreign affairs Edvard Beneš sent to the Czechoslovak Republic within 1919?1928, to the wider public. This original historical source provides a great amount of information relating to the beginnings of the independent Czechoslovak State, international politics, the constitution and functioning of Czechoslovak diplomacy, key personalities of Czech politics and, naturally, in particular information useful for understanding Beneš?s multilateral political activities from 1919 to 1928. Each of Beneš?s journeys, treated in independent chapters, is introduced by informative dating and equipped with detailed annotation.
